Irvine Beachpark Cyclocross Duathlon

NEW for 2024 - SCOTLAND’S FIRST EVER CX DUATHLON
Irvine Cyclocross course has become an iconic location for bike racing in Scotland.
As kids we also competed in the Scottish Athletics Cross Country Championships on the same dunes… So… Let’s combine the two.


Start with a 2.5km beach run.
Then approximately 10km of a cyclocross… 4 laps
Finish with a 2.5km beach & sand dunes run.

We predict the fastest times will be around 50 minutes.

The cyclocross course will be a modified version of the championship course. We want it to be rideable and enjoyable by athletes of a wide variety of skill levels. There will be sand. There will be a roller coaster. There will be a run up. But the majority of the course is fast on hard ground.
You don’t need a fancy bike. Any bike will do, MTB, Gravel, hybrid, Brompton, your daily commuter. . Probably not your TT bike.
If you can ride it on grass you can ride it on CX.

Please note this event has been cancelled due to low numbers. The system has for some reason not updated and is still showing as LIVE. I am working with Race Space to recitify this and process the last remaining refund.
